Ashley Martin

Attorney Martin grew up in Dauphin County, a 2005 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and a 2009 graduate of Bucknell University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree with honors in Philosophy. During her time at Bucknell, she was a Legislative Fellow with Bravo Group Government Relations in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She lobbied successfully for laws such as the indoor smoking ban in Pennsylvania to protect restaurant employees and patrons.


In 2013, Ms. Martin earned her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. During her time at Widener Law and immediately thereafter, Ms. Martin was employed at The Law Office of Allen Welch.


From 2014 through 2017, Attorney Martin served as a Dauphin County Assistant Public Defender. For a time, she exclusively represented juvenile clients. The majority of her time there, Ms. Martin represented clients charged with all manner of felony and misdemeanor offenses. Ms. Martin is a successful trial attorney having received Not Guilty verdicts in felony and misdemeanor cases including felonies of the first degree.


Attorney Martin handles all types of criminal cases and has defended numerous clients charged with serious felonies including firearms offenses, aggravated assault, felony drug offenses, robbery, burglary, kidnapping, and child abuse. Ms. Martin has also represented clients charged with misdemeanor offenses, in Protection from Abuse and contempt hearings, in juvenile court, during probation or parole violation hearings and handles petitions for early release from prison, probation, parole or work release confinement.  Attorney Martin also handles custody and divorce proceedings.


Attorney Martin is a compassionate, dynamic and articulate professional. She currently serves as an advisor to the East Shore YMCA Youth and Government Program.
